Reno's Artown Celebration 
More than 350 events each July. Artown noted by the National Endowment for the Arts as one of the most comprehensive art festivals in the country. More than 100 partners throughout the community. The 31-day festival takes place at venues citywide and brings to life theater, dance, film, history, multi-cultural, musical, visual and performing arts activities and events, as well as dozens of children’s activities aimed at educating youth on the importance of the arts. Dimensions of the Sierra Nevada-Geology Weekend! 
Squaw Valley Institute and Sierra College-Truckee's Institute for Sustainability are teaming up to present a weekend of slide lectures, hiking and fun focused on our region's geology and natural history. Guided hikes will give participants an opportunity to experience the material presented at the slide lectures. Overnight packages available. Locals may attend any or all events.
