Whether you’re dreaming of a new motorcycle, looking for a part for your own bike or just want a cool T-shirt, all you Harley-Davidson® enthusiasts will be glad to know that there are three Harley-Davidson dealerships in the Outer Banks area.
Kitty Hawk Harley-Davidson® in Harbinger, which was named a Top 100 Dealer in all of North America in 2009, is located just two miles north of the Wright Memorial Bridge in Currituck County. Kitty Hawk Harley-Davidson® is the only location for Harley-Davidson® Authorized Rentals in all of southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Stop by and check out their full display of Harleys® as well as men’s, women’s and children’s Harley® clothing, riding gear, T-shirts, gifts and collectibles. Kitty Hawk Harley-Davidson® also has a state-of-the-art Service Department and a well-stocked Parts Department.
Outer Banks Harley-Davidson®, located in nearby Elizabeth City, was also named a Top 100 dealer in 2009. Outer Banks Harley-Davidson’s® Service Department is open seven days a week and their Parts Department has the largest inventory of motorcycle parts in the Albemarle area.
The knowledgeable staff at Kitty Hawk Harley-Davidson® or Outer Banks Harley-Davidson® can help you select the bike of your dreams, whether it’s new or pre-owned.
Nags Head Harley-Davidson® at MP 13 just south of Jockey’s Ridge has a large selection of men’s and women’s clothing, children’s clothing and gifts, jewelry and other Harley® collectibles. Take advantage of their outlet store prices! They also have a great selection of custom T-shirts.
The three Harley-Davidson dealerships in the area are the hosts for Outer Banks Bike Week™. When Outer Banks Bike Week™ started in 2003 with a simple bike show and poker run, no one could have imagined the major motorcycle rally that would evolve in just a few years. In April 2009, more than 20,000 motorcycles showed up for Outer Banks Bike Week™. If you think the Atlantic Ocean roars, you should hear the Bypass and the Beach Road during Bike Week!
What separates Outer Banks Bike Week™ from other motorcycle rallies is that the Outer Banks event is a riding rally. On the Outer Banks, bikers get out there and ride. With more than 100 miles of highway from Ocracoke to Corolla, the bikers have gorgeous stretches of highway to cruise, tons of attractions, shops and restaurants to visit, along with parties, poker runs, concerts, tattoo and bikini contests, bike shows, treasure hunts and more up and down the beach. The local community is especially welcoming to bikers.
The next bike event on the Outer Banks is the Second Annual Outer Banks Bike Fest, coming up October 2-4, 2009. Come with your fellow bikers to enjoy the great fall weather and have a lot of fun at this laid-back fall rally. Then mark your calendars for the big shebang – the Eighth Annual Outer Banks Bike Week™, now, by biker demand, running a solid week from April 18 through April 25, 2010.
