Virginia Beach is bigger and better than ever. Everywhere you turn, you’ll see signs of improvement. Whether it’s a cleaner beach, a new place to eat or deluxe accommodations, this City is growing.
With its own King Neptune standing tall, Virginia Beach is a sight to behold, and in every direction, it’s better than
ever before. A wider beach, a bigger boardwalk, new hotels, more entertainment, shops and restaurants –
the improvements are everywhere, and the result is a destination bursting with amenities, activities and tons of fun. There’s so much to see and do here that one visit is simply not enough.
For starters, this extra-wide stretch of sand supports some very popular attractions, not to mention the mighty Atlantic. There are concerts, competitions, parks, playgrounds, festivals, parades, fireworks, an expansive boardwalk lined with entertainment venues and an Atlantic Avenue populated with performers every summer night.
North of the resort strip, Virginia Beach is home to historic Cape Henry, site of this nation’s “First Landing,” and several outdoor performances and attractions of its own. The beach’s South End is a destination as well, boasting one of the area’s largest shopping centers, as well as the less commercialized beach of Sandbridge and the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge. Due west of the oceanfront is Downtown Virginia Beach, glittering with a cosmopolitan atmosphere all its own.
Wherever one turns, there is something new to see and a never-ending list of things to do. There are museums to visit and golf courses to play. There are spas and water parks, a sparkling convention center and world-class aquarium. There are fish to be caught, and dolphins to watch and jet skis and go-carts and bikes to rent. But most of all, there is fun to be had. That is at the heart of Virginia Beach and there is nothing King Neptune would rather see. |
