Where the Sidewalk is the Stage
Performances of all kinds are presented under the stars, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Virginia Beach oceanfront. The heart and soul of this unique outdoor entertainment celebration is between 17th and 25th Streets on Atlantic Avenue. There’s something for everyone, with over 100 performers from percussion groups and vocal ensembles, to puppets, swing trios, magicians, and even jugglers!
The entertainment even spills over into the parks, as bands play on outdoor stages at 7th, 13th, 17th, 24th, 25th and 31st Streets. Check out “Salsa” and “Blues” theme nights or catch Symphonicity (the Virginia Beach Symphony Orchestra), outdoor movie nights for families, and full-scale magic shows throughout the summer. Best of all, it’s free!
Beach Street USA 2009 season began in May, and runs seven nights a week from 7:30-11pm starting June 12. See the Events page for a complete stage show schedule!
