Virginia Beach, VA
The Summer History Tour offers visitors an opportunity to visit historic sites and houses that represent the very beginnings of America. Participants discover the Native Americans and earliest colonists at the Villages at Cape Henry and the First Landing Cross, see the two lighthouses and tour two historic homes, which may include the Lynnhaven House, Adam Thoroughgood House, Francis Land House or Ferry Plantation House, and a visit to the Old Coast Guard Station. See Virginia Beach in an air-conditioned coach while a step-on guide provides a narrative about both historical and modern sights.
The tour is available on Wednesday and Thursday from 9am-12:30pm, June 17-September 3. Tour departures/arrivals and tickets are available at the 24th Street kiosk. Adults are $10 and students $7. |
