Area Features
Golf In Virginia Beach

With its sunshine and its surf, its fairways and its greens, there’s no better place to swing into summer than in Virginia Beach. The area’s numerous public golf courses dot the landscape like so many emerald isles with a variety of designs and challenges. Whether duffer or pro, prone to eagles or mulligans, you’ll find your game in Virginia Beach.

You’ll also find conditions consistent with the area’s high standards for maintenance and service. The quality of the facilities and staff is a bonus for every player who appreciates a professional and friendly atmosphere.

When planning your next outing, there are several considerations you may want to keep in mind. Tee times are the norm, especially on weekends and holidays. Junior and senior rates may be available. While collared shirts are a safe bet, dress codes can vary depending on the course, and most require “soft,” rather than metal, spikes.

As an added convenience, many hotels offer golf packages and can assist you in making your arrangements. For more information on fees, cart rentals, etc., please call one of the following courses. Their friendly staffs will be more than happy to help you. Additional information can be obtained from the Department of Convention and Visitor Development, 757-437-4700 (for groups of 15 or more), the Visitor Information Center, 757-437-4888 or through several related web sites, including www.golfhamptonroads.net.
