Searching for hidden treasures...
Antiques and the museum collections of Colonial Williamsburg would seem to be synonymous, but until recent years, there were few places in the area where an individual could purchase an antique.
Since 1997, the Williamsburg Antique Mall has filled a special niche in the antique market. Conveniently situated off Rte. 199 on Lightfoot Road, the Williamsburg Antique Mall has become a destination for those wishing to purchase antiques as well as view them in this historic colonial setting.
The Antique Mall was built to be exactly what it is — a facility to display and sell antiques and collectibles. It is equipped with state-of-the-art systems for heating, air conditioning and lighting, and is easily handicapped accessible. To satisfy hungry shoppers, La Petite Tea Room, located in the building, serves gourmet soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts.
With over 300 dealers, many from out of state, occupying the 45,000 square feet, the Mall is larger than most similar facilities and has more dealers. While an individual will not have face-to-face contact with most dealers, there is plenty of help available, and a sales associate is easily summoned by an electronic call system. All of the staff walking the floor are dealers themselves, with a deep interest in antiques and collectibles.
The discriminate shopper can find buys on just about anything from Hummel figurines to exquisite antique furniture.
With a great selection and service-oriented staff, the Williamsburg Antique Mall makes the trip to Williamsburg extra special for the antique or collectible seeker. |
